Snake Oil Country

The entitled majority sheepishly think pills or potions will give them instant athleticism but what we really need is cleaner diets, more consistent hard work and simply a more "rub some dirt in it" mentality.

In a country renown for its advancement in medicine, technology and all things progressively cutting edge it seems we collectively search for the Holy Grail of supplements as a “silver bullet” for all things lacking in our collective athletic careers. The claims that some supplement companies disseminate are downright unlawful and ultimately dangerous to the masses. The smell of greed circumnavigates the impenetrable smell of herbal fat-loss pills in every GNC-ish store.

Tough love time: you’re not going to be the next Jason Giambi if you just take androgens-even if Mr. Giambi has admitted
as much. It’s just not going to happen. There is NO silver bullet. There is no special snake oil that will transform one with sub-par genetics into the world-class athlete dreamt about.

I’m sorry peeps but creatine with a bit of sugar is NOT going to be a silver bullet or even close to a protein-synthesis multiplier like a synthetic anabolic steroid like
nandrolone, etc.

So, regardless of logical discussion about the need for more consistent heavy-duty, old-school hard work there will always be a significant percentage of people that feel they are entitled to be a better athlete than their genetics or work ethic have dictated they deserve. And it will show in your tubby belly my friend.

While androgens absolutely do what they were designed to do that does NOT mean that some haphazard “prohormone” (legal steroid) or miscellaneous supplement will do the same.

So I pose this question, if one is unwilling to put in the sweat (blood and tears) equity and they also lack the genetics to be a beast on the competitive field then why would some sweet-tasting powder in a bright bottle be the silver bullet? It will not. Ever.

And this applies to androgens as well considering the rapid strength/muscle gain but sometimes inverse production of good, high-quality type-1 collagen fibers (super weak joints over time, basically). Yeah, one may deadlift 500 pounds but they’re out of commission for two weeks due to the unnatural strain on one’s joints. Weak sauce-drizzled all over weak joints…

Instead, for the ultimate success of any athlete, gifted or not, is to get that eight hours of sleep, eat naturally with plenty of protein and nutrients,
stretch dailyand lift some heavy weights and train your tail off-with a pair of TylerGrips.

Supplements are just that: supplements. They are there to put the finishing touches on one’s training regimen…not to replace the training or to make up for a crappy diet of deep-fried garbage. Until one ignores this rule one will continue to ignore their true athletic zenith and ultimately defames one’s true self.

And who wants to know in the back of their head that they were mediocre…or worse? Boo that.

Until next time…train harder and smarter.

Bottom line, Hulk pills are for suckers.
No, this is not another pregnant "man" again. He's just huge.
Synthetic use of androgens have been linked to connective tissue injuries as well as high blood-pressure, which stunts stamina. And gives you ED.
Neck exercises with heavy Milo Bags ROCK!
